DUCT CLEANING & SANITIZING

Studies by the National Institude for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) found that more than 50% of IAQ problems are related to poor ventilation and related maintenance. Most IAQ problems can be traced to two common causes: inadequate ventilation hygiene and a pollutant source.

 

Cleaning a building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC) will in most cases led to a major improvement in IAQ. Many buildings have not had their ductwork cleaned in decades; some have never been cleaned. Debris from the original construction as well as years of accumulated soot, fungi, spores, pollen, dust viruses, bacteria, asbestos, oil, mites, smoke, tar, textile fibers, moulds and other contaminants are hidden throughout the ventilation system.

 

M-Cube have adopted the most advanced duct cleaning system in the world called COLLOM® International. COLLOM® is develop based on blow and suction technology, where it uses high compressed air together with special nozzles acting as air knifes inside the ventilation system. The entire system is set under negative pressure by using super-efficient negative air machines that also collect the debris.

On top of it, we are also able to perform sanitizing on inside surface of the ductwork after the cleaning process is completed by spraying anti-microbial solutions if required.

COIL CLEANING & TREATMENT

Air conditioning in commercial buildings may distribute biological contamination as 80 – 90% of all commercial building air is re-circulated. We at M-Cube will establish a regular program of scheduled maintenance, quality assured procedures clearly documented, regularly reviewed and available for inspection by building engineers, facility managers, building owners, property insurers and tenant groups. Effective plant maintenance gives rise to a multitude of additional benefits beyond improved air quality.

 

The M-Cube HVAC Coil Cleaning Solution is an enzyme based solutions that targets all domestic, commercial and industrial air handling installations. The product is designed for application to cooling and heating coils “in situ” as part of mechanical plant maintenance. The cleaner strips away any existing bacteria, fungi and other contaminants, it also removing any pre-existing coatings, ensuring a clean surface for the application of the treatment. The product is non-corrosive and completely biodegradable.

 

The M-Cube HVAC Coil Treatment Solution is applied “in situ” to cooling and heating coils after they have been cleaned and existing biofilm removed. The treatment leaves a thin coating on the coil surface. The solution is formulated to release a small amount of the active biocides over a period of at least 12 months. After each time the M-Cube HVAC Coil Cleaner is used to remove the existing coating, it is recommended to reapply the treatment.

IAQ ASSESSMENT

Due to the vast number and complexity of buildings types in Malaysia, a wide range of working conditions exists. The quality of indoor air within these buildings should allow employees to work safely at all times. However, there are rare circumstances where hazards, such as elevated particulates (dust, dander, and allergens), volatile chemical vapours, vehicle emissions, and mould may enter workplace air. M-Cube has the capability to conduct air monitoring for these, and many other, compounds to evaluate breathing air within a building and ensure compliance with NIOSH Industrial Code of Practice 2010 requirements for indoor air.
